What he said about a pact with the devil is ludicrous. There is no proof that such a thing occurred. One of the reasons these people are in spiritual darkness is because of the Roman Catholic Church which allows them to stay in the church and practice their voodoo. Thank God...Semantics gets in the way of our words. Thank God for His Word! Jesus said: "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you no! But unless you repent you too will all perish. Or the eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them, do you think that they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish." Luke 13

Jesus' work on the cross was indeed sufficient. He said "It is finished" And He does not change. What we have called 'blessing' (prosperity) is the least of blessings, and always preceeded calamity, where it has not brought repentance. The whole of the Old Testiment shows us this. We are indeed under grace, until the time of Jacob's trouble, when the wrath will be poured out- the message is, not that judgement is here now, but that it IS coming- therefore- repent! Oh, how I long that the Body of Christ would take a biblical view of suffering, and understand that suffering is not the judgement of God, but rather IT IS mercy! "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" Sometimes we are salt when we should be light! God, grant us wisdom.Saint Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09224814369833801651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025964677106527881.post-78434649469636889172010-01-17T07:10:12.684-08:002010-01-17T07:10:12.684-08:00Thanks for leaving your thoughts dear sister Diana...Thanks for leaving your thoughts dear sister Diana!A Seed Sowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13712021930784104817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025964677106527881.post-30921841363026785212010-01-17T06:58:07.086-08:002010-01-17T06:58:07.086-08:00"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-pres..."God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." Psalm 46:1-3
Question: "Is Haiti the most sinful country of all the countries of the world?"

Biblical Response: Luke 13:1 - There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, becuse they suffered such things? "I tell you no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. 4 "Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem" 5 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."Diana Kukkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10758632236738891444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4025964677106527881.post-77044896172239649982010-01-16T09:36:22.833-08:002010-01-16T09:36:22.833-08:00Sister Helen, I agree with your conclusions. The earth quaking and shaking, the wars and rumors of wars, the death, famine and disease that are increasing upon the earth are also " post cross".

God judged Israel repeatedly for the lack of respect, worship and their turning to other gods. The history of Haiti is not good. There is a reason they are the most depressed and oppressed of nations in this hemisphere.

There are Believers there; operating amidst much spiritual darkness. The leaders of Haiti, the leaders of the nations can influence how God deals with a nation also.

In that regard, I fear for the nation we live in. Having a President that supports abortion, gay rights, and Islamic traditions cannot but bring judgment here. I also am no prophet, but I can say with confidence that California will probably be next in line for an event from the heavens.

God is in control. HE DOES JUDGE on an individual basis, a local basis and a national basis. He controls events on this planet.

If there is peace in a city, it is because of Him, if there is war and calamity, HE ALLOWED IT.

To hide or try to cover up this truth does God a disservice. Until people are honest with the world, there is no hope of redemption. Pat Roberton was right on with this one. I have been to Haiti many times and the Christian church there is about 40% of the population and growing. Either God dealt with sin "once for all" at the cross or he didn't. You can't have it both ways. Sorry, but I disagree.Mike Messerlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09898765959699944927noreply@blogger.com
