As A Mighty Wind From The North He Shall Come

The following is a word the Lord laid on my heart this morning:

"As a mighty wind from the north He shall come, He shall tear down your idols, He shall rip through your security, He shall shake your foundations, Terror shall reign in your midst.
Enough He shall say, it is done He shall say.

As you have forsaken Me so shall I forsake you in the day of trouble.
You have made mammon your God, and it shall destroy you. All your greatness shall perish, never to be seen again.

You have looked to the arm of man to save you, and turned your back to me. You consider me impotent, unable to save, therefore this to shall be your downfall you who name yourselves after me.

I am neither impotent nor unable to save to the uttermost, you shall see and weep."

It is so wonderful to know that our Father is in control of all events. There is not one thing or happening that He was not aware of from before the foundation of the world. We are given a choice, He sits before all life and death; He admonishes all to chose life! The decision is ours, but He knew from eternity past those who would chose Him. This is beyond the comprehension of our human brain; at least mine!

In the past I have, as you wrote in this recent blog, looked to the arm of flesh to save me. I have on occasion in the past turned my back to Him. In bitterness of heart and anger toward specific churches in their dealings with my father, who was a pastor, I turned my back on God, thinking He was in charge of the church building and deacon board and so forth!

He in His mercies which glory be to His Name, are renewed daily, did not cast me aside into the bottomless pit, but He tied a string to my soul and let me dangle in my little misery of a web I had weaved for myself, and eventually, when I reached rock bottom, He pulled me out of the mirey clay! He set my feet on a rock to stay, He put a song in my heart today, a SONG OF PRAISE! HALLELUJAH!
