I tell you saints that tribulations and distresses will come, we should expect them. Our Father has a purpose in allowing them, He uses them to perfect us in our faith in Him. He allows methods that we do not expect, nor relish, but they are for our certain good. I know this because I have been tried, and am still being tried, but I know in Whom I place my trust, and I know that He is able to deliver.
For we know that it is written.....
Romans 8:35-38
35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

These are the words that we need to meditate upon saints of God, and secure in our hearts, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, the enemy of our souls, who would destroy us if he could. So when it seems that all hell is assailing you saint of God, ask Him "What is it that I need to learn here Lord?" because saints I tell you, we imperfect children of God continuously need to learn and grow and shed our carnal nature always.
It is not a sin to feel weak and helpless, for in and through our weakness, when we are submitted to Him, then His strength is made perfect, and visible and He is glorified. The Lord wants us to be 100% percent dependant upon His strength. God wants to be needed of His children.
In and of ourselves we can do nothing. If you believe yourself to be already made perfect, and that you have no need for further growth, then you need to go back to square one for you are full of pride.
1 Corinthians 10:12
Therefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
