Heresy New or Old -video transcript.

Most disturbing to me of late, is the reemergence of doctrine I have heard in times past which is namely this, it teaches that the Lord is not going to return literally.

It teaches that Jesus has returned for the second time already, by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers. Now this is a lie, this is a deception.

Yes the Lord Jesus Christ dwells in His believers by His Holy Spirit, but that by no means negates His literal promised return. For He shall return bodily, He is not dead. We serve a risen Saviour!

Now is this a new heresy?

No it's not for it is written there is nothing new under the sun, and this is a heresy that was being propagated by some, when the disciples were alive. Both Paul and Timothy warned the saints of this...

As it is written:

1Corinthians 15:12-19
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, "how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?"
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Saints don't listen to the voice of the enemy who would seek to destroy your faith.

As it is written:

2Timothy 2:16-18
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Let no one overthrow your Faith saint of God.

As it is Written:

Hebrews 9:28

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that "look" for him shall he "appear the second time" without sin unto salvation.

By the way, Jesus by His Holy Spirit was indwelling His saints when these events occurred, so how easy would it have been for Paul or Timothy to say that this indwelling of the Holy Spirit was Christ's return?!

As I said earlier there is nothing new under the sun, Satan uses the same tricks he has always used, and his goal is to destroy the faith of the saints. Know the Word and stand on it, for it shall never fail, and it shall stand for all time.

As it is written that Jesus said:

Matthew 24:25

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away

Luke 16:17

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle (minute particle) of the law to fail.

On the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2:1-4, the Holy Spirit initially came as tongues of fire, and as we can read in Acts 1:9-11, when Jesus Returns He shall come in the clouds as He ascended so shall he descend, and every eye shall see him.

Jesus said:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30

Revelation 1:7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Allow none to seduce you from the Truth.

To me one of the greatest examples of Faith mentioned in Scripture is our brother Job. His faith was such that the Holy Spirit revealed to him, the fact of a living Savior, His return, and the resurrection of the saints in the last days.

As it is written:

Job 19:25-27

25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins (essential organs) be consumed within me.

The Return of Jesus Christ and our "Resurrection from the Dead" is our "Blessed Hope", as it is for Job, that as He, Jesus, is we may be also, for all eternity!

As it is written:

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall "see" him as he is. 1 John 3:2

Titus 2:11-14

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
On the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2:1-4, the Holy Spirit initially came as tongues of fire, and as we can read in Acts 1:9-11, when Jesus Returns He shall come in the clouds as He ascended so shall he descend, and every eye shall see him.

The dead in Christ have the same hope as those of us who will be alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord.

As it is written:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Saints we need to meditate on these things, and in every day life we need to be reminded of this Blessed Hope. In the days and years to come with what is coming upon this nation and the earth we will surely need to have these words in our hearts. And saints, I like Paul, seek to encourage you in the Lord, not that I have attained, nor am perfect by any means. For I must stay repentant before the Lord daily, as I battle my flesh, so pray for me, I so covet the prayers of the saints. God bless you all.
