Another Lie Via God-less TV

When Mike Bickle of IHOP speaks saints-don't listen.

Just happened to catch a snippet from an e-mail I got from "God TV" (that's a joke-it should be called God-less TV). These same people were the ones who broadcast Todd Bentley world wide to deceive thousands. http://www.god.tv/node/519

Photo shows Rory& Wendy Alec of God-less TV, with Mike Bickle at IHOP (International House of Prayer.)

He was telling all his large audience "Jesus will not come back until the church has shaken off the spirit of slumber, operates in the anointing of prayer and has a bridal identity"...now just where in scripture does he find that? While these things sound good, they are not truth, and we know a little leavens the whole lump. These teachings are so subtle, that the young and unlearned cannot distinguish truth from a lie.

He also states in this same video, "The center piece of what is on God's mind is to bring Heaven and Earth together." Oh really and just where do you get that from Mike Bickle?

Where in the Word of God, does Jesus say that He will not return until the "church" has made herself ready? Show us in the Word of God Mike Bickle where you find these two statements -you can't because they are not there.

Jesus said,
"Behold I come as a thief"

Revelation 16:15

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Jesus said "Be ye ready for in an hour that ye think not the son of man cometh"

Matthew 24:43-44, 48-51

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus speaks of the wise and the foolish virgins...Hello Mike Bickle!

Matthew 25:1-13

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Many will say in that day "But Lord I did this in your name, and I taught that in your name "and He will say-I know you not, so beware Mike Bickle and all those who teach from your own hearts that which God has not spoken, and is not written, God will not hold him guiltless who teaches false hood to His people.

And saints beware who you listen to and follow, if it is not written, it is not of God. If what your taught cannot be found within the Word of God-trash it and fast, because a false Word will be burnt up, but the truth of the Word of God will stand for all eternity.

I do not know of IHOP and I have only watched God TV several times while passing through the channels. But to add my two cents worth on the subject, if I may, I believe that Jesus is coming back for a chaste, clean, pure, Bride that has been purified in the fires. I believe this process is of the Father and it will not be plesent for any of us, as far as the flesh is concerned.

We truly wrestle daily, hourly, against our spiritual foe and against the sin nature we were born with. We must truly die daily to self and let Him conquer anything that arises that is not of Him.

Anything that takes away from the imiment coming of Messiah is not of Him. The Apostles anxiously awaited His return; they thought it could be at any time; I believe this also.

Watch, wait, occupy and pray until that day arives. It may be this afternoon!!!

Even so, come LORD JESUS!

I was somewhat envolved with the Kansas City Fellowship as it was called in its earlier days. I used to go to some of Bikles Conferences. I came out of a movement called "THE WALK" with a so called Apostle by the name of John Robert Stevens it was an earlier movement that broke away from the Latter Rain thinking but the teachings were pretty much the same as what the Kansas City Prophets teach. These are False Prophets who prey on the Lords people in false visions, prophesyies and divination. They teach lies for covetious gain. They do not fear the Lord, nor do they know Him!

26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
Jer 5:26 (KJV)

They have become rich by selling their Word and making merchandise of God's people. All the while teaching cleverly devised fables to deceive and destroy.

14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
Jer 14:14 (KJV)

May the Lord reward them according to their works.

Kim you said:
"He was telling all his large audience 'Jesus will not come back until the church has shaken off the spirit of slumber, operates in the anointing of prayer and has a bridal identity'…now just where in scripture does he find that?"

Well for starters - Ps. 13:3; Isa. 62:4-7; Amo. 3:7; Mt. 22-25; ITh. 5:6-8; 1Pe. 1:13; 4:7; 2Pe. 3:12; Rev. 5:8, 22:17.

I think what you're struggling with is the concept of the conditions of Jesus' return. Jesus is not coming back in a vaccum. There are specific conditions (Mt. 23:39; 24:14; 2Pe. 3:12; Rev. 5:8, 19:7)

You keep highlighting that Jesus will come as a thief, and he will, but He will not be as a thief to those who are children of the day:

1Th 5:4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

Another thing you guys should look into is IHOP's official statements on controversies like "Later Rain," and "Dominionism." I don't see how someone could be leading people into something they have specifically denouced. It's like saying Obama is going to run the White House exactly like Bush did. We all know that's not true, so why do people insist that MB is leading young "impressionable" adults into things that have been specifically denounced by the IHOP leadership?

The five wise and the five foolish virgins represent the church not the world. The world does not even believe that Jesus is going to return, actually for that matter many in the church question His return.
Yes the church, the believers, the children of God, are always to keep themselves ready, just as the Word instructs...but Jesus is not holding off His return until we are ready...as he states "Be ready (always) for in an hour you think not the son of man commeth"...
That is why He set forth the example of the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins (once again these virgins don't represent the world and the church-they represent the Church-the commited, and the luke warm believers)
The Word of God says we may know the times and the season of Jesus return, we need not be ignorant of these matters. We may not know the day and the hour...but we need to be ready at all times.
Oh and I am not struggling at all with the concept of His return..He is coming in an hour that we think not and He is coming in like manner as He left, as in the book of Acts.
I have read all the scriptures you quoted, I am not sure how you think they all relate. For example,Ps. 13:3; Isa. 62:4-7.
Amo. 3:7-relates to Israel when read in its context-not sure how that relates to your point. But I will not continue with this. To me those scriptures all point to the fact that as the children of God we need to be prepared to meet the Lord at all times, as none of us has even a promise of tomorrow, God holds our breath in His hand and could choose to take it at His will....therefore be ready...

Thank you for your comments, I do appreciate that you took the time to leave your comments. I appreciate your zeal for the Lord. Oh, and I am not sure where you got the name KIM but I am not kim...no worries though...lol

A little late in joining in but...
Danny I am going over the list of scriptures that you posted to prop up your unbiblical Kingdom Now/Dominionist theology. First off there are no scriptures whatsoever that give even a hint of "operating in the anointing of prayer". "Anointing of prayer" and "bridal identity" are also just not mentioned anywhere, not found in scripture, not there. Psalm 13.3 has nothing to do with Jesus coming back, it is a plea that David not die from lack of knowledge. Isaiah 62 has nothing to do with 'shaking off a spirit of slumber'. Amos 3.7 has nothing to with shaking off a spirit of slumber so the Lord can come back. Matt 22,23,24 and 25 are a series of parables and some teachings, none of which have anything to say about taking dominion of the earth there is a mention Matt 24.42 about being watchful. Matt 25.5 mentions the five foolish virgins sleeping. But none of these make any conditions for the return of Christ. 1Thessalonians 5.6-8 Tell us to be sober and vigilant and watch for His coming, not to make Him come back. 1 Pet 1.13 tells us to be sober and to trust. 4.7 Tells us to be sober and watch. 2 Pet 2.12 is part of a larger passage telling us Christ's return is immanent and exhorting us to be godly in our lives. Rev 5.8 describes the 24 elders falling down to worship (this is where i.h.o.p. conjured up the 'harp and bowl model') Rev 22.17, tells us that the Spirit and the bride exhort us to come to Jesus and drink the water of life, NOT telling Jesus to come back.
Now, every one of these passages except the one in Amos are used by i.h.o.p. to justify the unbiblical 'prayer movement' and give credence to their dubious titles of 'gatekeeper' and 'intercessory missionary'. This is known as eisegesis, or reading INTO scripture, things that are not there. It seems that you don't even understand the scriptures you are reading; are you reading them? Or are you copying and pasting from an i.h.o.p. website. This is the exact list they use. None-the-less, none of these scriptures, nor any scripture place any conditions whatsoever on Jesus' imminent return.
I think what you're struggling with is the concept that you can't twist scripture and create false doctrine and magically it becomes truth because you wish it so.
As for the Latter Rain/Dominionism aspect of i.h.o.p. they deny they teach it, but they ARE teaching it. It's like claiming they didn't eat the blueberry pie when their mouths and hands stained with blueberries. Here is a link to a complete refutation of their "Affirmations and Denials"
