Many Earthly Shepherds Lack Discernment!

The lack of discernment amongst the earthly shepherds is frightening. Some churches are now so huge, that it is impossible for the pastors to intimately know their flock. You can’t know a person, by merely attending the church building with them; you must fellowship out side of the church setting. Neither can you know a person via the internet. It is easy to hide behind a microphone in some of the chat rooms, where no one sees your daily walk, no one truly knows you. It is easy to blog about the things of God, you can claim to be anything over the internet. It’s another thing entirely for a person to see your daily walk.

I know of a pastor, who calls forward a woman to pray for others, who is living a life laden with sin. All this is done before her unsaved family members, whom she preaches to about their sin. This woman is not a "new" Christian, this woman has claimed to be "saved" for years, yet she lives like the devil himself. She bares no fruit of the Holy Spirit in her life at all. I use her as an example just to show you, the lack of discernment amongst leadership. I have seen many a pastor put sinners in positions of leadership, or commend them within congregations, and consider them pillars of the church, when they don't even love God.

Now you may say, "Well, Jesus had pity on the woman at the well." Yes He did, and he told her that He did not condemn her, but that she was to, "Go and sin no more". Jesus came to bring sinners to REPENTANCE...That means that they are to turn from their sins, not continue to live in them .

This particular woman I mentioned, is not the first example I have personally witnessed over the years. It is so sad, because not only is she lost, she is a huge stumbling block to her own unsaved family, and she is in danger of hell fire. I have personally witnessed her sinful behavior. Her pastor either has no discernment at all, or he knows nothing about church discipline, which we discussed in yesterdays blog. This woman causes confusion with in the body of the church she attends, because the saved and unsaved alike, who know this woman's life, observe this treatment of her by the pastor, and are confused, and some babes in Christ have even grown bitter.

A little leaven can encroach upon a congregation and cause great harm, as can a root of bitterness.

It is a sad thing that many times when church leaders are told of the danger that a soul is in, they are labeled a hater of the brethren, or a dissembler, or they are dismissed as to judgmental. I find it no coincidence, that when one speaks against the sin of homosexuality, one is labeled a homosexual hater, and when one speaks out against the false Roman Catholic doctrine, one is labeled a Catholic hater-neither is the Truth. Those who love The Truth, share it because they love the sinner.

Anyone who is bound by sin, has no place being asked publicly, to pray for others, or be put in a position of leadership within the body. Just because a person may make a public display of so called "Spirituality" by speaking in tongues, or seem knowledgeable of the things of God, is no reason to believe their witness. Saints we must try the spirits, that includes the spirits of people. Tongues, is not a measure of spirituality. The fruit in ones life is the measure of “spirituality”. This type of person needs prayer, and council, and rebuke for their life style, not acceptance of it, not justification of it. They need to be put out of the congregation if they refuse to turn from their sin.

Many within the church body have the ability to fool the undiscerning pastors, but they cannot fool God.

I once attended a church, where a man’s sexual sins were covered, he ended up being murdered. I have attended a church where a blind eye is turned to every sin that the family who runs the church does, and the true saints are condemned for the smallest of things. But not to be concerned saints, for God shall judge, and when we see His judgment we will understand perfectly why it has come.

I have witnessed churches condone Masonic members, as board members, and leaders in the churches. I have seen absolute denial, whilst these Masonic members say, “Oh we don’t go to meetings any more”, but they boast outside of the churches of the times they still flash their Masonic rings to police officers to get out of traffic tickets…. Many pastors refuse to speak against the Masonic lodge at all, they are perfectly happy to remain ignorant as to the doings of the Masonic lodge and its members.

Many Shepherds are blind saints, they are blind! And we know saints that if the blind lead the blind they shall both fall into the ditch, into the eternal abyss.

I have witnessed many dreadful things within the body over the years, and it is heart breaking. To condone sin, is not doing the sinner a favor, it is not showing love, it is setting the sinner up for a curse from Almighty God. I thank God that He has chastised me and given me space over the years to repent of my sins, but the days are growing shorter, and it is past time to repent, and turn from our wicked ways saints.

Again I tell you those who refuse to rebuke the sinner, and those who condone sin, are in sin themselves.... but beware also those who love to rebuke the sinner -when they have unrepentant sin in their own lives GOD is NO FOOL !!!
