Testimony of the Glory of God

For months since my daughter and her boys moved in with us we have not been able to find her glasses. I thought I packed them in a box of stuff from her kitchen, in a safe place, so we unpacked over a dozen boxes and repacked them, and didn't find the glasses. I prayed several times, "Oh God please help me find her glasses"... to no avail...

A lot has happened in my daughters life this last year, and she was so lost, and so uninterested in God, yet of late He has been dealing in a very heavy way with her, and drawing her by His Holy Spirit. She in turn has been responding to His wooing and starting to try and read the Bible.

Well today I went into her closet and started to go through some more plastic boxes, where I thought perhaps I had packed her glasses, I picked up her Bible and I said once more, "Oh Lord please please help me find her glasses, she needs them to read her Bible." and the Lord said,

"They are in a coat pocket!" ... and a little light went on in my head, and so we started searching coat pockets, and sure enough in the inside pocket of one big jacket, there were her glasses, Glory to God! now she can read her Bible without eye strain....God is Good!!
This was a real "God thing" because this old gal, had no recollection of it being in any coat pocket, but packed away!!!!
My daughter is so thrilled, she just asked me if I wanted to sit outside with her and read our Bibles together!

God is Good and God is Faithful All Glory to His Name!

Saints this last week I witnessed a lost soul admitted to the hospital in a very distressed condition. Yet this was the Lord moving to get their attention. It takes a lot for some people to hear the voice of God, because they are so set on their own way. God has to put a bit in the mouth of some to make them heed Him, because He is Good, and He is not willing that any perish, but that all come to repentance.

And God is Faithful to hear our prayers, and to answer, and we must always trust that He is in control, and He does know what is best for all, at all times, and in all circumstances. He loves more than any other, and He has all power. I witnessed the hand of God at work in that hospital room, and am continuing to witness the mighty power of God, and His most gracious love, He is truly the miracle worker.

This soul is now seeking after Him, because He is drawing them to repentance, they are becoming the clay in His hands that He desires them to be, Praise His Holy name.

Never give up saints and never give in, for with God all things are possible if we only believe!

Please hold this soul up to God, for it was the devils intention, to steal, kill and destroy, but God is able to save, and heal. It is better to enter into Heaven halt and lame, than to have all our members functioning and enter into hell.

Are You Resistant to Change and some what Anxious of the Unknown?

I was doing some thinking this morning ... imagine that! ....lol

Anyway, I have always been one who doesn't take to easily to change, apprehension of the unknown ya know!? And I have been undergoing some changes this last year or so, with yet more to come.

But I was thinking God never changes, He is the one constant and consistent presence in the lives of the children of God. Where ever we go He goes, and He goes ahead to make the way for us. We have no need to be concerned of change when we belong to Him, because He leads us in the path that we should go.

He has so many and varied reasons for the changes He brings into our lives, but mainly that we learn to have absolute trust in Him.

There is no place in the Heavens above nor the earth beneath that we can go to escape from the hand of God, and that includes for the purpose of our good.

God is ever present, and with us in and through all things. We can lean on Him and be guaranteed that He will sustain us through any and all circumstances that may arise in our lives.

Jesus Christ is our Rock!
I don't know about you saint of God, but I say Amen to these words from the old hymn ...
"On Christ the solid Rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand!!!!

Does God Sometimes Give Us More Than We Can Bear?

Yes He does... contrary to the common myth, and misquotation of scripture, which says "God never gives you more than you can bear"

Could you, or I, have held up alone under what our brother Job had to suffer through?

Do you not think he had more than he thought he could bear?

Is not the loss of a loved one, more than we can humanly bear?

Was not the prospect of death on the cross more than Jesus Christ thought He could bear?
Christ thought His Father had forsaken Him. Jesus Christ was overwhelmed

Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, EliEli, EliEli, lamalama sabachthanisabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

David felt he had more than he could bear, and thought that God had forsaken him, David was overwhelmed:

Psalms 22:1
1. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring.

Do not men and women kill themselves daily, because they think their burdens are to much to bear?

Just what does the scripture actually say?

1 Corinthians 10:13-14
13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

This scripture is relating to the temptations that God allows to come our way, or the burdens and trials He allows which seek to destroy our faith. However it is up to us, whether we accept the way of escape that the Lord gives us, or we choose to drown in our own misery, or sin, and curse God, as Job's wife wanted him to do. Job to thought God had forsaken him, Job was overwhelmed.

God tells us to bear one another's burdens, because He knows full well that at times just as in the case of our brother Job, our trials can overwhelm us. Or in the case of Moses who needed the assistance of others that he may continue to intercede for the people.

Exodus 17:11-12
11. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

God is a compassionate God, who cares for us, and we need to care for one another. When given opportunity we need to be willing to bear one another's burdens, because we will all have burdens to bear.

Galatians 6:2
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

We are to pray one for another also, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". So we can all be effective in helping alleviate the burdens of others.

If your burden is heavy today saint of God, press in and trust God with every fiber of your being, and He will bring you comfort, He will bring you strength, and He will bring you encouragement. If you submit yourself to Him, He will cause you to rise above the waters!
