Can We Trust God To Keep Us?

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

As this baby trusts his father to toss him in the air and catch him safely, so we as children of God ought to trust our Heavenly Father to ever keep us no matter what befalls us.
He has promised to never forsake us, and to be with us even unto the end of the world.

I recommend you read this blog by Pastor Michael Boldea. /mikeboldea.blogspot.com/2008/07/sanctuary.html

I read it and was spurred in my Spirit to write the following response:

Finally a voice of sense and Godly reason amongst the many babbling brooks. (To clarify slightly, this is referring to the many voices that are saying, with the coming tribulation, run here, move there, do this do that.)

Yes my dear young brother, we must all listen to the voice of God, and not follow another who says go here, go there, we must listen to the voice of the Spirit of God.

He is able to keep in the midst of the fiery furnace, but you'd think some don't believe that.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, but you'd think some don't believe nor desire that either.

You'd think that this earthly life was to be preferred over death, and to be amongst men a greater thing than to be in the presence of the Lord.

You'd think that some loved this life far more than they desire to dwell in the very presence of the Lord.

Death is not the worst thing to happen for the Child of God, it is merely a transition to the eternal.

Death for the Child of God is not something to be dreaded and feared but to be faced with anxious anticipation and faith, and trust in the one who birthed us and gave us life, physical and then spiritual. (not advocating suicide here by the way, for those who would mock).

The desire of the disciples was to be with Christ in Heaven, why do those who claim to be followers of Christ today, shrink from this and desire to cling to this world.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

I would ask, where is our confidence children of God?

We must all be willing to be absent from our bodies and to be present with the Lord, we must be willing as Abraham was of sacrificing Isaac..willing.. and we must desire to be pleasing to the Lord.

We must desire to be with the Lord, this is our blessed hope children of God, as He died and rose from the dead, so shall we in Him at His return.

We must be willing to die, die to this world and everything in it and to ourselves, our flesh.

We must be willing to be crucified in our flesh, our spirit and if necessary our very bodies. Faith, and courage, and trust in God is what we need.....

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Saints, do you love the Lord, more than you love your fleshly life?

Your 100% correct my dear young brother, if we are in Christ, we are safe where ever we are. He is able to keep us and present us spotless before His throne.

Sorry for the long post, but you can sense my years of frustration at this subject, which many choose to ignore, in favor of this present life. If this is all we had to look forward to we would be most miserable....Amen
God Bless
Helen B.

P.S. Could it be Saints of God, that it is fear that motivates those who tell us to search out a safe place of refuge? Do we not know that perfect love casts out all fear? Do we not know that the only safe place is in Christ?

Amen Sister Helen. Yeshua said He is from above, we are from below! He is altogether different than we; He said nothing unless He heard it from the Father. Yeshua said He did the will of Him who sent Him; He did not do His own will but was obedient; even to the death on a cross.

Oh for the day that we will all be ONE in Him! Even so, come LORD JESUS!
