I am currently observing the struggles, and consequences, in the life of a lost soul, and I was just talking to the Lord and saying, "Oh Lord if she would just surrender to you, bring her to that place Lord."
....Yes the rebellious have many struggles, because they are fighting against the Lord, and it is a hard place when men fight against the Lord, because He has the control, and to fight Him is to hit a brick wall in the battle, eventually.
Acts 9:5
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: "it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks".
Other translations omit the last part of this verse, but to me it says, "It is hard to kick your bare foot against the thorns"-that is what we do when we fight against God, we are battling against one who is supreme, we will not win in a fight against God, ever, we will come away the worse for it, not HIM!
Sinners only hurt themselves when they rebel against the Most High God.
Psalms 107:17
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Proverbs 13:13-16
13. Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
14. The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
15. Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Romans 2:8-9
8. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Saints, it does not pay for us to fight against God. When we do not live in obedience to His word as His children, we suffer, because God is Good and He chastises us for our own benefit.
When we observe those who are in anguish because of their sin-we need to remember Paul-God met with him-he was a murderer of the saved, the children of God, and God changed him-and He can do that for your loved one, your friend. Nothing is impossible with God!

Wow, very insiteful Word out of Acts. Also very interesting how the other translations loose this gem! As always, thanks for being faithful, it's ever encouraging.
The Lord gave me the insite-can't take any credit for that what soever, God is good, He reveals the simplest of things to the simplest of us.
