Gossip has no love for its victims
All it seeks is to destroy
It has no concern for justice
Nor regards a Holy God
God is watching its every ploy
As it maims without killing
Though its motives may hide
He knows its intentions
It breaks hearts and ruins lives
It seeks to separate very friends
It is cunning and malicious
And takes pleasure in its destruction
It thrives on being heard and believed
Its victims are helpless
Not given chance to respond
Gossip likes it that way-one sided
Gossip touches the innocent
And God sees it all
Both the heart and the intent
And He
shall bring justice for all!
This is a word the Lord gave me today I now share it with you saints, that we may all think on these things.
The most unruly member of our bodies is the tongue. It is a member that can be used for God's Glory, or it can be used for our own destruction. The tongue that is used to attack and attempt to destroy God's people, and he who is angry with his brother "without a cause"-God will judge!Psalm 12:1-51. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
Be warned saints if a person will gossip to you about another, they will more than likely at some point turn on you, and tear you appart and enjoy every minute of it.
Psalm 52:1-9
1. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
2. Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.
Selah
4. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5. God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living.
Selah
6. The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7. Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
Proverbs 21:23
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles
James 3:5-6
5. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Saints we all have choices. We can love our brothers and sisters and seek to take authority over our tongues, or we can choose to give in to our flesh, and give place to the devil, to use our tongues for evil. But when we bite and devour one another we need to be careful lest we be consumed one of another.
Galatians 5:13-17
13. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Saints we are not to render evil for evil, railing for railing but rather blessings to those who are enemies of the Cross of Christ and those who oppose themselves!
