Saints we must put on the full armour of God that we may be able to stand in this evil day. Because if the enemy spots a chink in your amour he is going to penetrate through that weakness and seek to destroy you.
Ephesians 6:10-18
10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Saints if we try to go in our own steam and our own power we will fail miserably.
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
We have an adversary who plays dirty and the sooner we realize this the better off we will be. He is a serpent who bites and buffets us. We must put on Christ.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We are in a wrestling match dear saints, that is why the going gets tough at times, it is to be expected, so we should not be surprised.
13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
If we do not put on the whole armour of God we will not be able to stand. We can't just put on one shoe, or leave off the helmet, or forsake truth. We are to equip ourselves. Oh and trust me...Satan wants you passive, relaxed and non resistant.
14. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Saints we have to prepare ourselves by paying heed to all of the gospel by walking in His ways.
16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
We must trust God above all and hold fast to our faith, no matter what comes upon us.
17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Saints the Word of God is Truth, we must love and desire that Truth above all else.
18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
We need to persevere and pray for one another saints, we need to hold one another up in this hour.
One thing is for sure if you are going to stand for the TRUTH of God's Word you are going to suffer persecution. Therefore the armour is an essential.
There is no way out of it, or around it...even when you are not seeking persecution it will find you...and we need to be sufficiently prepared because we have an enemy who is seeking to devour us, as he sought to devour the man child spoken of in Revelation.
Revelation 12:4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
As soon as we are born into the Kingdom Satan goes to work to devour us...he looks for ways to discourage and defeat us. His main goal is to rob us of our faith, to fill us with doubt feed us false doctrine and ultimately destroy us eternally.
Saints the good news is that our great HIGH PRIEST, Jesus Christ, intercedes for us and prays for us that our faith fail not!
Luke 22:31-32
31. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Peter went through a time where he denied his Lord, but the Lord did not allow him to be destroyed, he awakened him, converted him, strengthened his faith, and ultimately caused
him to be a total overcomer.
Peters short denial of the Lord was a perfect picture of when we fail the Lord...how He goes to work on us....He removes the blinders on our eyes and allows us to see clearly....He then reconciles us to Himself. It is also a picture of "Let he who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall"...Peter never even dreamed that he would deny his Lord.
2 Timothy 3:10-17
10. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11. Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Saints we must prepare ourselves for the hour we are about to enter, we do have a responsibility. Remember the foolish virgins who had no oil and went looking at the last moment...they had not prepared themselves and they knew the bridegroom was coming. We are to walk daily in the way of the Lord.
Don't listen to the Devil who wants you to believe you are powerless. Look to Christ the author and finisher of our faith ... seek His ways and walk in them and you shall overcome.

My dear sister Helen, I am thankful God our Savior laid this on your heart to write by His Holy Spirit! We are living in very wicked hour. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, and keep the shield of FAITH on every minute of the day. I Praise God for never leaving me or forsake me. Just like you said in your blog, Jesus prays for us what a blessing to know we can overcome with the strength of Jesus! I thank my dear Father in heaven He gives me his strength to overcome and keeps me in His bosomed.
Let’s love one another and encourage each other in the Lord.
The evil schemes of the Satan can attack us in many ways. We are not to run from the enemy, nor stand up to the attacks with our own strength; we are to stand in the Strength of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:10-11, 14-17 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes… Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
Love in Christ

After this period of perscution WE WILL SEE JESUS face-to-face!!! Glory to God!!
Dear Helen
Thanks for your encouraging reminder about the armour of God. I'm preaching in it tomorrow and it's a tough one as one of our young girls in the congregation was killed in a car accident on New Year's Day. Satan is always looking out to get us and we need to be prepared each and every day - he knows our weaknesses but the Lord is our Strength! Anyhow, greetings from me at the Salvation Army, Queenstown, New Zealand. Kiora! Wayne
Hi Waynelee, I am so blessed that you took the time to leave a comment. Comments are always a great encouragement for me. God bless you.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a dear young sister, but I trust she is with the Lord and in Glory rejoicing for all eternity. I pray for those she has left behind, may the Lord bless them with His great comfort as only He can.
Helen/aka seed!
