Bring your Thoughts into Captivity Saint of God!

Saints sometimes you just have to say to yourself, "Don’t think on the things of this world" – what might be, or what might happen, that is part and parcel of bringing our minds into subjection to God.

Our lives can become so hectic sometimes just with daily events and trials, and evil reports, that if we allow ourselves, we will be drug into thinking things, that will take us into concern over tomorrow, when we know it is written- "Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof",
"You know not what tomorrow holds, therefore let it take thought for itself"
"bring your thoughts into captivity"
"If it be the Lord’s will we will do thus and so"

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

James 4:14-15
14. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

We must trust God in spite of our circumstances, and trust HIM with our future, for only HE knows what tomorrow holds for us. HE will never fail, nor disappoint, for HE is FAITHFUL!

Regarding taking thoughts captive made me think of something my Mother would say to me as a child; "you cannot keep the birds from flying over your head, but you CAN keep them from building a nest in your hair!"

Our minds are bombarded daily, hourly with fearful, ungodly thoughts. I am reminded constantly to think on these things; whatsoever is pure, lovely, Godly, peaceful, of a good report, etc. ..whenever other thoughts come to my mine, I remind myself of these.

If Satan can control our mind at will, he has us right where he wants us. Only the power of the Spirit of the Living God can shield us from his firey darts; and they are full of fire.

There is a rest and peace for the children of God. Run to HIM!
