The Vatican is the only religious entity that is a country unto itself and has offices in the UN and is considered a world power, and the pope a world leader.
There is a conflict between Roman Catholicism and freedom. Relying on official Vatican pronouncements one can demonstrate that Roman Catholicism is hostile to constitutional government, political and economic freedom, and the private property order. The "Mother Church" is the mother of feudalism, the corporate state, liberation theology, the welfare state, and fascism. Roman Catholicism is a diabolical government unto itself that wishes to control the affairs of men.

Not only are they idolaters in heart, but they do so openly which leads them in blindness and causes them to stumble.
The Vatican, a very powerful entity indeed. The statues, the prayers to the saints, the worship of Mary (the queen of heaven) and the compromise from the foundation of the faith established by the Apostles are an abomination to men and women seeking truth. I have had a close association with strict Roman Catholics from Poland and their fervor for the established order of mass is amazing; it seems all form, no substance or Spirit. The rites of a man made system established throughout the centuries. They have truly killed the prophets and saints through the ages. Looking at the pictures of the Vatican, I would be ashamed to be a Pope walking through such splendor while half of the world are living on pennies a day; with untold millions of babies with bloated bellies dying as I write! And yes, the churches in the United States are just as guilty of this crime against God. In my small town in WV there must be 40 churches of all possible denominations. Tens of millions of dollars in property used just once or twice a week! We have people living in the woods here; and the church is locked and chained. WHAT A WITNESS...If God, the true Spirit of God, were to reveal Himself in just one of these dozens and dozens of churches, the entire town would be transformed.
It is not God. So whose fault could it be? I wonder...no one is spending time in His Presence. This is where change takes place!
