Be Thou Faithful Unto Death And You Shall Receive The Crown of Life

What does it mean to be faithful?

It means to be steadfast in affection or allegiance, to be firm in our adherence to promises made, or in our observance of duty.

We have one duty saints and that is to be faithful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and allow Him to conform us into His image daily.

It also means to be true to the facts, or to a standard or to an original.

The original for us Saints would be the example of Jesus Christ, and His written Word. We must be willing to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and submit ourselves to God.

Synonyms to faithful are: loyalty, to remain constant and consistent, to be staunch in our faith, and remain steadfast and resolute to the end.

It means that what ever the devil brings against us to destroy our faith in Jesus Christ, we are to remain steadfast and faithful unto death.

1 Peter 4:12-19
12. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
16. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19.Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Hebrews 10:23-24
23. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

1 John 1:8-10
8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

He is faithful toward us saints, may we all strive to be faithful to Him and His Word even unto death, that we may be able to cast our crowns at His feet.
